What is Joy Coaching?

January 31, 2007

Joy Coaching is a creative means of using the healing arts of music, aromatherapy, massage, guided visualization, journaling, and even unadulterated chocolate–as a means to increasing your sense of bliss!

There is a bliss molecule in chocolate, called, adenomide. This chemical brings on a wonderful feeling of euphoria, or “bliss”. Chocolate is full of magnesium, which prevents mood swings. Yet, if you adulterate chocolate with refined sugar, waxes and milk confections, you wind up undoing the good that God intended for you when he invented the mood-miracle food!

Joy Coaching brings all kinds of God-ordained creativities into one beautiful practice called, Joy Coaching! Using all five senses, you find that the brain will automatically shift from negative extremes, stagnant molecules in motion, emotional toxicities, etc into higher frequencies of love, joy, bliss and peace—-all through the effects of vibrational medicine via music, human-energy touch aromatherapy, and more.

What is vibrational medicine? Any substance that is high in vibration that brings forth a harvest of joy. For more information, contact, Karyn Grant, Joy Coach @ 801-768-8879 or 801-427-1047 to ask questions or schedule your appointment.

Vibrational Attunement Massage Therapy

January 31, 2007

RE: Karyn GrantI scheduled an appointment with Karyn while she was at the conference here at the house. I went to see her today for the music/massage, therapy she does. It was fabulous. It was unlike any other massage I have ever received. I wasn’t sure what to expect especially since I have experienced so many different massages all over the world. It was delightfully refreshing. It reminded me of something I would experience in California, New York, or Chicago….it was something different. Thy type of thing you would expect to pay $200-$300 dollars for that any celebrity would find unique and fun. It was not your typical Utah experience. Again, it was delightful! I would encourage anyone to go try it out. I am scheduled to go again. She charges $65 per visit.  She does offer a bundled package at 4 visits for $200.Anyway, Just thought you might enjoy the feedback.

Kristen,

Former Miss Utah

Dear Karyn,

I have been struggling to push away a persistent, creeping melancholy for the last

5 or 6 weeks…a combination of grief resulting from a traumatic experience early in December, the post-holiday let down, and the Seasonal Affective Disorder that often rears its ugly head in these short, dark days of winter. (I need Light!)

When I came to see you yesterday I was at the end of my emotional rope…tired from carrying other people’s burdens and wondering if it would ever be “my turn” to ride, not to carry. I actually had on my list to go that day to finally purchase both SamE and herbal prozac (St. John’s Wort), knowing I had to do SOMETHING.

My vibrational attunement massage exceeded all my expectations…it cleared out the melancholy and I woke up with a HAPPY heart for the first time in many weeks.

Thank you for your amazing gifts and for releasing the stored “emotional toxins” and helping me so effortlessly let them go! It was wonderful not to have to sob, moan, shake or cry; or to tell you any of my problems, but to lay there and soak in the vibrations and the music and the touch and accupressure and let them all do their work as I enjoyed the experience. It was a graceful and effortless release of sadnesses I have tried to release from my own tissues and cells so hard on my own, through prayer, gratitude, pondering, visualizations, etc., to no avail.

This just DID IT.

You are a beautiful gift!

Man is a Musical Instrument

January 6, 2007

Man of himself is an instrument of music; and when the chords of which he is composed (physics?) are touched and salute the ear, the sound appeals to his spirit and the sentiment to his understanding.  If the strains are harmonious, he endorses and enjoys them with supreme delight; whether the tones are from a human voice or from an instrument, they arrest his attention and absorb his whole being.

Discovering The Healing Arts

By Karyn Grant, LMT, VAMT

For years people have been asking me, How do you do what you do? I knew that I must be able to duplicate the process so that other “mother-nurturers” could share it with their children, husbands, family, and friends, and clients. It came as a gift though; one I could not explain. But then, how do you explain gifts of the spirit? I was instructed by angels. I did not learn to do what I do in a book or at massage school. While attending Utah College of Massage Therapy, I instinctively knew and understood the emotions and feeling of my classmates, while performing massages for them. I also discovered I had an innate ability to see them in their divinity, their purity, their sweetness, and I was able to acknowledge all the goodness that God allowed me to see in them. It wasn’t difficult… but I had to open up my spiritual eyes to see. “Let he who had eyes to see; let him see…let he who has ears to hear…let him hear. I have an angel collection.

The Lullaby Connection
Scents of Peace: Musical and Aromatherapy Duets

Solacing Souls with Song and Scent
By Karyn Grant, VAMT, LMT

I have lullabied my children for years. But, what I didnt realize is the profound effect that singing my hearts lullabies would have on my own inner child. My musical journey through the past 46 years of my life has led me to some breathtaking vistas of understanding which I would like to share with anyone who has a child or children. One of the most amazing realizations I have made in my journey is that there is a beautiful Child Within that is need of constant nurturing and cherishing.

Learning to assist your child in identifying his/her feelings must be a very gentle process. The purpose of the Angel Dreams Lullaby Collection is two-fold. First, it is my intention to provide mothers and fathers with tools and instruments in helping children to go to sleep peacefully at night encouraging the mind and heart to process spiritually and emotionally stimulating thoughts. The second part of this mission is to assist children in identifying their own individual feelings and emotions.

The Art of Storytelling and Guided Visualization

Storytelling: A Form of Guided Visualization

By Karyn Grant, VAMT, LMT

Storytelling with children is a wonderful way to assist them in expressing their feelings. As I child, I have fond memories of my mother tucking me into bed at night. Often, in those snuggly moments, she would tell me a story, Once upon a time, she would begin; There was a little girl named Karyn… She would continue the tale by adding that Karyn was taking a long journey down a path in the forest… Soon we would meet up with an animal and she would encourage me to fill in the blank by me telling her what kind of animal we met on the path. Did my mother know that she was teaching me the power of visualization?

Our storytelling adventures wound through the years creating happy memories for me as I grew up. As I got older, she read me books such as, Anne of Green Gables, A Wrinkle in Time and other favorites. But, the stories I loved best were the ones we made up together.

In my practice, as a Licensed Massage Therapist, I have had the joy of writing songs and creating a line of oils, Scents of Peace Essential Oils that help to create a bit of heaven on earth. Oils and songs with names such as Crown of Blessings, Scents of Peace, Magic Kisses and others help to lull my clients into a gentle space of relaxation. The vibrations of oils, music and the power of touch assist the senses in opening up new avenues of healing.

The Cellular Symphony

The Cellular Symphony

By Karyn Grant, Joy Coach, VAMT, LMT
For over six years, Karyn Grant, Joy Coach, Emotional Clearing Specialist, LMT and VAMT, has been using the five senses as a means to assisting her clients in creating an increase of joy in their lives. Karyn, singer and songwriter, has combined the five senses to promote a “Scents of Peace” for her clientele. Her thirty years of using music as a form of therapy, coupled with all her additional modalities has now become, The Cellular Symphony.

With the addition of each new vibration (essential oils, songs, touch, etc), her clients were reporting greater success in achieving emotional release. What did Karyn discover? The more vibrations that you introduce to the pathways to heart-mind via the senses, the more senses you involve in the process, the grander the harmonics of The Cellular Symphony! Karyn’s practice spread by word of mouth, as an Emotional Clearing Specialist with an emphasis in music, massage and aromatherapy.

Through the sense of therapeutic touch, with the added sensory stimulation of sending messages to the heart-mind via the vibrations of aromatherapy, (through Karyn’s creation of Scents of Peace Musical and Aromatherapy Duets), Karyn has been appealing the heart-mind and amagdyla through the sense of smell. She added to her equation, the sense of hearing by using her own original music, songs all written with the intention of attuning heart, mind, body and spirit to the Atonement of the Savior. With the added measures of song, she later combined the power of the spoken word through her guided imagery series, using meditation and visualization, and accessing the sense of hearing, coupled with the sense of (inner) sight to assist her clients in “imagining” the gentle process.
